Daniel Anderson & Daniel Haywood are the Charlene Fryers 701 Pairs Shield Champions 2023!

Daniel Anderson & Daniel Haywood have added their names onto the Charlene Fryers 701 Pairs Shield with an impressive night of darts. They won their first three matches of the night to get themselves a place in the semi-finals against St Malachy's Old Boys duo Conor Cassidy & Kevin McIllhennon. It was a competitive high scoring match but it was the Lodge duo that hit the double first to move into the final. In the other semi-final was a St Malachy's derby match where Warriors team of Michael Crangle & John Mahon came up against Old Boys team of Paddy Cassidy & Paddy O'Connor. This semi-final was a game of missed doubles where both teams missed eight darts at a double each before Paddy O'Connor finally hit the winning double to send them into the final. The final was dominated by the high scoring duo of both Daniels which proved too much for the two Paddys and with Daniel Haywood hitting the winning double, they secured the title of Charlene Fryers 701 Pairs Shield Champions 2023. Well done to the two Daniels on their impressive win and commiserations to all of the other competitors who fell short on the night!
